The Two Stages Of Love
Have you ever wondered why a love relationship seems to be sweeter and electrifying at the beginning but begins to lose its spark somewhere along the way?
Could it be that you don't love each other anymore or something wrong with the relationship.
There are two stages of Love;THE OBSESSIVE STAGE and THE COMMITMENT STAGE.
THE OBSESSIVE STAGE
This is usually known as the ''The Honeymoon Stage'' of a relationship. At this stage, you'll both say ''I LOVE YOU'' 1000 times in a day and will still want to say some more. At this stage, you'll always want to be together and to be seen together.
Love is like a wildfire. You spend time talking on the phone until you exhaust your airtime then move on to video call until you exhaust your data subscription.
The chemistry is so strong at this stage of the relationship that if you both don't take it slow things will get out of hand.
It's a great stage to enjoy responsibly. But it doesn't last forever. For some,it lasts for weeks, months or years.
Time is a great test of love. If someone insists that he/she is in love with you, let time prove him/her right or wrong.
THE COMMITMENT STAGE
At this stage, the chemistry subsides and reality begins to set in. You begin to see the flaws in your partner which initially couldn't see because you are ''Blinded'' by love.
The feelings you have for each other begin to drop, that's when a lot of people feel they don't love each other anymore.
This stage of love is sustained by deliberate resolve to remain in the relationship despite the low chemistry or reduced feelings you now have for each other.
Some rightly describe this second stage of love as the ''WELDER FLAME'',It does not make noise but it can cut through iron.
Believe it or not, it's the sweetest and most powerful stage of love.
Love is a choice, commitment to stay true to your partner with or without the feelings or chemistry.
Don't keep jumping from one relationship to another in search of the ''High'' you derive from the initial stage of relationship.
The bridge between this obsessive stage to the commitment stage of love is not usually smooth and that's where a lot of people give up
LOVE IS MORE THAN A FEELING--IT IS A COMMITMENT
